Atavism Totem:(Cobalt on Punch Cards) · 2026 · Collaged paper and acrylic on paper · 30 x 22 in.
A cobalt form stands on a ground built from punch cards, painted over in burnt orange until only their rectangles and faint rows of data still show. Its mirrored lobes and starred voids take the stacked, bilateral plan a woven border and a vertebral column both arrive at, set here on a storage medium that has outlived everyone who could read it.
Drawn to scale from the recorded dimensions, against a sofa. Not a photograph of an installation.
