A warm blush field built from layered acrylic and impasto brushwork serves as the foundation for 'Our Experiences & Our Designs.' Beneath the surface, collaged cut-paper fragments emerge like cellular or botanical specimens; leaf-like lobes on the left dissolve into fragmented, hand-like forms at center-right, suggesting the biological residue of memory and process. Two horizontal bars of deep navy blue float above and below the composition's midline, functioning as deliberate interruptions: geometric, synthetic, and assertive against the organic turbulence surrounding them. The contrast between the raw gestural ground and these clean painted marks embodies the work's central tension; the push and pull between what accumulates naturally through experience and what we consciously impose through design. Rendered on heavy cotton rag paper, the work carries a quiet physicality; ridges of paint and the subtle relief of cut paper invite close looking, rewarding the viewer with shifting detail across the textured surface.
